12 March 2010 - Norwegian weapons maker Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OSL: KOG) said yesterday that it will supply NOK173m Protector weapon control systems for armoured personnel carriers, to the US Army.

The order was placed by General Dynamics Land Systems, part of US aerospace and defence company General Dynamics (NYSE: GD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating).

The Protector system protects military troops by allowing the vehicle's weapons to be operated from a protected position inside it.
