Employees of civilian structures in Afghanistan in MOD

During her visit to the Republic of Croatia, Chairman of the Afghan Red Crescent Fatima Gailani, and project manager of Kabul Institute for War, Peace and Reporting Abaceen Nasimi visited on Monday, January 25, the Ministry of Defence.

Two Afghan activists met with representatives of the Croatian Armed Forces and MOD led by State Secretary Pjer Simunovic. The talks on the meeting were on current situation in Afghanistan, and so CAF and MOD employees who were in many ways involved in Croatian participation in the ISAF mission had a chance to familiarize with the work and experiences of Afghan activists.

Chairman Gailani in his speech thanked for the efforts of Croatia invested in order to achieve peace and stability in their country, and concluded that there is no complete solution of the crisis through military means, but must be achieved through peaceful means and with the additional comprehensive efforts of international community and the Afghan authorities.

State Secretary Simunovic said that Croatian citizens can very much understand the situation in Afghanistan, the war in which we have been not so long ago, and today's visit and a meeting called confirmation of friendship and partnership that was established between the two countries.
